Now that I have a Good Source of Sproutable Wheat ...

... how do I store it ?

I've been buying it 10 pounds at a time. So I'm up to 35 pounds (a year's supply for one person ! - for $35 !)

It's in the plastic bags from the store, about 2 1/2 or 2 3/4 pounds per bag.

This about 18 pounds of wheat, costs about $20. Silver round thrown in for contrast !

Would it store better if I vacuum sealed it ?

By "store better" I mean last longer, in terms of being good to eat, and also the viability of the seeds (these are live wheat seeds.)

I've been sprouting a handful every day. After 4-5 days they're ready to be fried. It's hard to describe what they taste like. Obviously influenced by the spices & cheese you cook with them. They're really chewy, not like a gnarly piece of meat gristle that you spit out when nobody is looking chewy, but more like ... hard to describe. very unique.

I use coffee cans. Each cans holds about 5 pounds. But they are staring to make them out of paper now so they're not as good as they used to be.

With only 35 pounds you don't have to worry about storing them a long time.

health food store in Sonoma County, Calif.

Monsanto literally has a goon squad that uses laws passed by their puppets in Congress to go around and intimidate seed companies around the world (including Canada, ref. the case of Percy Schmeizer, a Canadian farmer.)

given that my wheat crop was stolen last year, i'm wondering how aggressive those MFers are.
